We will continue our tour to the Columbus Lighthouse, a Dominican monument and museum built in honor of Christopher Columbus, discoverer of the New World. Inside the lighthouse, you can admire exhibits from different countries around the world. It also has temporary exhibition rooms and conference rooms. We will then head to the Colonial Zone, the first city of the New World, where the most remarkable and majestic constructions of the colonization era stand. You will have the opportunity to explore the first cathedral of the New World, the Alcázar de Diego Colón, the famous Las Damas Street, and other 15th-century colonial monuments such as: • The Museum of the Royal Houses. • The National Pantheon. • Colon Park. • Ozama Fortress. • The Duarte Museum. • The Taino Museum.
