About This Experience

Walk in the footsteps of Darlene, Naomi, Seb and Mervin. You will have the opportunity to have lunch at Catherine's Bar or simply enjoy an hour of free time in the village of Honoré. Your guide will take you on a scenic drive along the beautiful beach where the Commissioner's house, nicknamed 'the shack', is set up every year during the filming period. Your guide will describe the scenes filmed at this site and the difficult filming environment for the actors. Your guide will then lead you to the botanical garden of the village of Deshaies, also known as Honoré Village. During this free one-hour visit, you will also have the opportunity to feed the animals there! You will continue your excursion with a visit to Port-Honoré, where all the scenes related to the departure or arrival of a boat, or referring to a port, were filmed. Your guide will take you on a walking tour of the historic center of Honoré Village, where you will discover various filming locations: the church, Catherine's first bar, souvenir shops, etc. You will learn more about the constraints of filming and what happens behind the scenes. Your guide will then lead you to the Honoré police station for a photo stop. This is the only permanent filming location dedicated exclusively to this detective series. Your guide will explain the history of the site and the role it plays in the series. If it is open on the day of your visit, you can take the time to explore it. Tours are generally permitted from December to April. You will need to pay for your ticket on-site (€15 or $20). The walking tour will end at Catherine's Bar, where your guide will introduce you to this site. After this stop at Catherine's Bar, you will have 2 options: 1. Lunch at Catherine's Bar: to guarantee you the most pleasant experience possible, the menu will be sent to you by email so that you can order in advance and save time on the day. We will then reserve a table for the group. Lunch is not included in the price. 2. Free time to explore Honoré Village at your leisure: for about 60 minutes, you can simply have a drink at the bar (Catherine's Bar is closed on Wednesdays), relax on the small beach next to the bar, or take a short walk. If you wish to have a drink at Catherine's Bar, please note that we cannot guarantee you a table, as reservations are only possible for lunch. You will just need to find a seat upon arrival. After lunch or your free time, your guide will take you on a scenic drive along the coast, and your driver will make stops to allow you to admire breathtaking views. At the next stop, you will also enjoy a spectacular view of a hotel complex, which is a recurring filming location for the series and where the filming crews stay. After this stop, it will be time to get back on board your minibus for the return trip to the Pointe-à-Pitre cruise port. Accessibility: Please note that this tour is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Motorized scooters, folding wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, and luggage are not allowed. This excursion involves extensive walking, often on unpaved and uneven terrain. You must be in good physical condition if you book this excursion. Lunch at Catherine's Bar: this option is not available on Wednesdays and public holidays (Christmas, New Year's Day, Easter, etc.). Lunch is not included in the price. Honoré Police Station: The police station may be closed on the day of your visit. In this case, a photo stop outside will still be provided during the excursion. The cost of the tour is at your own expense (€15/$20). Inspector's House (THE SHACK): please note that the inspector's house is only visible from May to October.
