Itinerary: We will start our adventure at the Museum of the Royal Houses, where we will meet at the set time. This guided tour will plunge you into the fascinating history of the oldest part of Santo Domingo. We will start our walk at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Incarnation, recognized as the first cathedral on the American continent. After contemplating this majestic church built by order of Charles V, we will head to the impressive Ozama Fortress, the oldest fortified structure built by Europeans on American soil. Our circuit will continue in Las Damas Street, where we will stop to admire the house of Rodrigo Bastidas, famous for having founded several cities in South America. You will also have the opportunity to discover the former residences of Nicolás de Ovando and Dávila, which will transport you back to the colonial era of Santo Domingo! Next, we will visit the National Pantheon, the Museum of the Royal Houses and Plaza de España, where the iconic Alcazar de Colón stands. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to taste a typical cocktail or fresh juice at the Rum Museum, a place where you will learn more about traditions related to Dominican liqueurs. After about two hours of enriching discoveries in the heart of Santo Domingo's history, we will conclude our visit at this museum.
