Visit Nine Mile Village and pay tribute to Bob Marley, the "King of Reggae." You will discover the place where he was born and which inspired his music. Visit his mausoleum, a museum, while enjoying a live concert. Located in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica, Nine Mile Village is known for its market, but above all for being the birthplace of Bob Marley, the legendary King of Reggae, and the place where he was buried. On this half-day tour from Montego Bay, you will visit the Bob Marley Mausoleum, which is managed by members of the Marley family. This popular tourist attraction features many historical items, including his guitars, awards he received, and photographs of events throughout his life. One of the highlights of the site is the rock pillow on which Marley rested his head when seeking inspiration for his music. His body is buried with his guitar in a marble mausoleum inside a small traditional Ethiopian-style church. The property has two mausoleums. The first is for Mama Marley, and the other inters Marley as well as his half-brother. Bob's crypt is at the top, while his brother rests in a tomb below. Mama Marley wanted the two brothers to be buried together.
