With the transfer to Martha Brae, opt for a nearly 3-mile (5 km) raft ride on this historic waterway aboard a bamboo raft. Enjoy this unforgettable experience. Rafting down the Martha Brae River is an experience not to be missed. Thanks to transportation to and from this historic river, you can soon embark on a 3-mile journey on bamboo rafts for a relaxing and soothing ride through the lush Jamaican tropical forest. The town located on the Martha Brae River was originally a Spanish settlement called Rio Matibereon. Since the Falmouth Water Company introduced running water to Falmouth in 1798, the Martha Brae has supplied the town and much of the agricultural area of the parish of Trelawny. This two-hour rafting activity is a very safe and enjoyable experience. There are no dangerous animals in the water and the steady current moves you forward steadily and comfortably. - It is important to note that this activity does not include the price of your rafting - You can arrange a lunch stop with your driver/guide. If you wish to do some shopping after the tour, you can also arrange it with the driver/guide for an additional fee - You should bring a towel, swimsuit, and change of clothes if you wish to swim, a camera, and cash. - Note: there is no weight limit per raft. The only issue is the width of the seat. If the width is not comfortable, people will need to use another raft, which will cost $65 per person.
