Take part in a guided tour that allows you to interact closely with beautiful and friendly squirrel monkeys at Monkeyland, and visit a typical Dominican house where you will learn more about the culture and lifestyle of the country. Visit the Coconut House or 'Casa del Coco' to learn how coconut oil is produced and taste exotic Caribbean fruits, roasted coffee, and cocoa. Interact closely with the friendly squirrel monkeys for the next 45 minutes. These charming and intelligent monkeys were trained by a Canadian couple with over 35 years of experience working with animals, including 12 years at the Toronto Zoo teaching monkeys how to interact with humans. The tour takes place on 5 acres of beautiful land where the monkeys have made their home. They will come down from the trees to sit on your shoulder and eat from your hands. They also love to pose for cameras, especially for selfies. - People with heart conditions, disabilities and/or mobility problems, epilepsy, and upper respiratory infections are not allowed to participate in this tour. Pregnant women also cannot participate in this excursion - Do not put on sunscreen or insect repellent before the interaction. - Wear comfortable clothes and bring your camera as well as money for souvenirs and photos. - Lockers can be rented.
