Drive a buggy, quad, or Kayo on the off-road trails of Punta Cana. Swim in a cenote, visit Macao Beach, and enjoy tastings at a local ranch. Are you ready for a local off-road experience in Bávaro, Punta Cana? Start at a traditional ranch in Macao, a real Dominican community away from the resort areas. After check-in and a short safety presentation, you can taste chocolate, coffee, tea, and mamajuana, then choose your vehicle. The buggy is easy to drive and offers muddy fun, the quad offers a more technical ride with less splashing, the Kayo is the premium option with more power and comfort. Please bring a bandana and sunglasses, trails can be dusty or muddy depending on the weather. Travel the off-road trails through the countryside to a natural cenote in El Salado, then take a short swim break to cool off and take some photos. Independent local vendors may be present, please just politely decline if you are not interested. Continue to Macao Beach, relax, rinse off, and take photos. Waves can be strong, swim with caution. Return to the ranch to view and purchase photos of the excursion and discover local souvenirs (optional). Daily departures at 8:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 2:30 PM. Trails can be dusty or muddy depending on weather conditions, which may affect visibility while driving. Local vendors may be present at certain stops, including the cenote and the beach. These vendors operate independently and are not affiliated with our travel business. Any purchase is entirely optional. For customers who prefer a smoother ride and more responsive braking, we recommend choosing a quad or Kayo. Buggies are handcrafted off-road vehicles and can be more difficult to drive for passengers without prior experience. They also have an open chassis, so during rainy days or when driving in deep mud, water or mud can reach the engine area and cause the vehicle to stop temporarily. This is part of the normal behavior of rustic off-road vehicles. At the end of the tour, our guides may invite passengers to leave an honest review. This is entirely optional. There is no obligation to leave a positive review; it is simply a friendly reminder once back at your hotel.
