Sand Dollar St. Martin Half-Day Snorkeling Cruise

About This Experience

A superb half-day snorkeling cruise to the French side of Saint Martin. Swimming, snorkeling, and sightseeing are on the program for this excursion. Sand Dollar is a half-day trip that offers sightseeing, snorkeling, and swimming. Your captain, Shawn, is one of our most popular staff members. The cruise takes you through the lagoon, along our beautiful coastline, and to Creole Rock, off Grand Case. Creole Rock is a large rock formation with a reef that extends to the mainland, about 1.5 km offshore. The waters are shallow and calm and allow for excellent snorkeling. The boat moors at a large sandbank, in about 8 feet of water. A large cooler offers beers and sodas, and French baguettes and Gouda cheese are served to hungry snorkelers. Visitors should bring towels, hats, and sunscreen, and wear a swimsuit. Underwater cameras are sold in our shop. Non-swimmers are always welcome. The boat ride is enjoyable, with great views of Anguilla from Creole Rock, and refreshments included on board. This excursion is very popular in the afternoon at 2 PM for divers and snorkelers. It often happens that a family member wants to accompany a diver and do some snorkeling; the Sand Dollar offers this possibility. The site is shallow for divers, but the life on the reef is very rich, with chances to see the rare frogfish, pufferfish, the occasional barracuda, and many varieties of reef fish. Please provide 24 hours' notice in case of cancellation. For cruise passengers, please note that we are about 45 minutes from the cruise terminal, depending on traffic. During the winter months, boat time and shore time differ due to daylight savings. Shore time is one hour ahead of boat time.
