Discover two of Puerto Rico's main attractions on this one-day adventure excursion departing San Juan. Visit the Yunque National Forest and explore the water on a kayak. Join your expert tour guide for a one-day excursion in the El Yunque rainforest, then kayak with luminous plankton in a bio-luminescent bay. Start your adventure by visiting the lesser-known area of El Yunque, the only tropical rainforest in the United States. Hike and explore this habitat off the beaten path. Take a dip in a waterfall or natural pool, or try water slides. Listen to your guide's fascinating stories about natural and local history. Spot indigenous flora and fauna, many of which are found nowhere else on the planet. After the hike, take a break with lunch at a local restaurant. Then it's time for a kayaking adventure through the mangrove channels leading to Laguna Grande. Meet the luminous microscopic plankton capable of producing natural light when they come into contact with your hand. Paddle in this remarkable yet safe environment. Explore these amazing creatures up close. Watch how each paddle stroke leaves behind a swirl of blue light that looks like fireflies. Learn how this fragile and unique ecosystem maintains a perfect balance of life. Please read the entire Before You Go section to ensure you meet our requirements and safety limits in order to participate. Maximum weight to participate is 102 kg per person.
