
This is a kayaking excursion in the Bio Bay Laguna Grande natural reserve in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Stir the water of the bioluminescent bay and activate many sparks. Start the excursion at Kayak Village in the Las Croabas area, Fajardo. You will first learn the basics of kayaking, safety and the rules of the natural reserve. Paddle towards the entrance of Fajardo Bio Bay, a red mangrove canal. Along the way, observe protected wildlife and flora. Continue to Laguna Grande and at sunset, as night falls and stars fill the sky and water. With each paddle stroke, sparks will appear in the water, while kayaks will create a swirl of light. Admire the constellations sitting in your kayak at Laguna Grande. Return through the mangrove canal, led by your guides. By this time, night has fallen. Kayak navigation lights will guide you while you hear the wonderful sounds of nature at night. - Minimum age to participate is 6 years old. Participants aged 6 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult in the same kayak. Participants aged 13 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult in the same kayak. - Maximum weight limit: 240 pounds per person, 425 pounds per kayak. - This excursion is not suitable for pregnant women, people with injuries to the back, neck, wrist, arm or leg, or people with epilepsy, heart problems or dizziness. - Each kayak can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. - All guests must be able to communicate in English or Spanish.
