About This Experience

Colonial Havana presents an impressive variety of colonial monuments. Discover them on this tour where you will be accompanied by an expert guide in colonial heritage. Itinerary We will meet at the agreed time to begin this free tour of Colonial Havana by contemplating the very famous Capitolio. From there, you will visit the Great Theater of Havana and the city's most important building, the Capitolio, seat of the national assembly. You will continue walking until you reach Central Park where the statue of José Martí is located. The free tour will take you past iconic bars such as La Floridita and La Bodeguita del Medio, and as you head towards the heart of Old Havana, you will see the majestic Art Deco-style Bacardi building. You will then stop at Plaza de la Catedral to appreciate this magnificent building with its Baroque facade and towers. Additionally, the square is home to a large number of colonial houses that belonged to the former landowners and the Creole and Spanish nobility of the colonial era. Havana can boast of the plurality of its squares. You will visit some of them like Plaza de San Francisco to see the church of the same name and the old stock exchange, the majestic Lonja del Comercio, built in 1909. You will then go to Plaza Vieja and Plaza Fundacional (also known as Plaza de Armas). In this enclave, you will admire the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales (Palace of the Captain Generals) and the Templete, the place where the city of San Cristóbal was founded 500 years ago. From this point, you will be able to enjoy the best view of the La Cabaña Fortress and the Castle. The free tour will end after three hours of visiting. How does it work?
