About This Experience

Do you wish to experience an exceptional day within one of Cuba's vast protected areas? Discover hiking in the Topes de Collantes Natural Park. Development of the Experience: At 9:00 AM, a representative will pick you up from your accommodation in Trinidad, marking the beginning of your adventure toward the Topes de Collantes Natural Park. To start this exploration in an exhilarating way, you will take a break at El Mirador, a lookout point located 500 meters above sea level, offering a breathtaking view of the Valle de los Ingenios, Trinidad, and the Caribbean Sea. After learning about the history of this iconic site, you will continue your journey for another 8 km into the park, one of the largest natural reserves in Cuba. You will stop in a community of the same name, discovering the main local sources of income, before visiting a coffee plantation where various varieties such as Arabica, Robusta, and Canéfora or Liberic are grown. After this visit, you will take the vehicle back toward Vegas Grande, where you will begin an easy hike to explore the region's biodiversity and familiarize yourself with medicinal plants. At the end of your walk, a magnificent waterfall awaits you, perfect for a refreshing swim after the effort. Once back at the starting point, a vehicle will be waiting to take you to a delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant. After tasting these local dishes, you will make your way back to Trinidad, where you will be dropped off at your hotel around 3:00 PM.
