On this excursion, you will be able to hike through the jungle, swim in dark caves and even jump off cliffs for thrill-seekers. This excursion begins in San Juan where we pick you up and take you to Vega Baja, a beautiful town nestled in Puerto Rico's mountain range. This region is renowned for its caves and underground rivers, and that's exactly where we're headed. Once we arrive in Vega Baja, our hike into the mountains begins. We descend to the bed of a river that takes us through open underground caves (no fear or claustrophobia). These caves are incredibly cool because they are traversed by a river and a hidden waterfall that massages and showers us. After the hike and swimming in the caves, we are ready to head to an area that locals simply call Disney: because it's our own version of an amusement park. Nature's amusement park. Here, we can swim in an area called Charco Azul, a famous swimming hole in Puerto Rico that gets its name from the fact that the water is turquoise blue when it doesn't rain. We will also be able to relax and/or seek thrills, as there are several jump points in this area. We will have time to relax and have fun in this area before heading back to the van. From there, we will take you back to San Juan. This adventure really has it all! Come with us and we will show you Puerto Rico through the eyes of a local, away from tourist traps.
