Enjoy a fun day at El Yunque without the exhausting hike on this excursion from San Juan. Take a walk through the natural forest, slide down water slides and relax on Luquillo Beach. Leave the hustle and bustle of San Juan to head to the El Yunque Rainforest and explore a quieter side of Puerto Rico on this full-day excursion. After pickup, take a scenic drive through El Yunque National Park. As you climb in altitude, you will be able to admire the mountain summit and the ocean below. On the way to a private access point on the Rio Pitahaya, you will pass Rio Mameyes, Puente Roto and the starting point of the Angelito trail. Upon arrival at Las Paylas, you will discover a natural playground with a hidden waterfall, a cave, two water slides and a natural pool. Then you can relax at Luquillo Beach and Los Kioskos. Immerse yourself in local culture with 2 hours of free time to have a drink or eat, shop for souvenirs or relax on the beach at this oceanside meeting place. Just 50 feet from the shore is Los Kioskos, a strip of about 50 bars, restaurants and shops. Customers will be dropped off at the same place they were picked up from. The nature walk is a moderate hike through the natural terrain of El Yunque. When it rains in the rainforest, the trail can become muddy and walking more difficult. Customers are invited to bring a small bag or backpack that can slip under the seat (like on an airplane). Any larger luggage will not be allowed on the bus. The activity organizer will not be responsible for lost or damaged items or personal effects during this adventure. El Yunque National Forest is monitored by the Puerto Rican government. If conditions become dangerous and part of El Yunque is closed for visitor safety, you will spend more time at Luquillo Beach and Los Kioskos. This adventure does not include access to the paid portion of El Yunque National Forest. Customers will not be required to purchase additional tickets. This adventure does not include the 2-hour hike to the summit or towers, as this trail may not be suitable for all customers.
